Mission Statement

To provide a fair and equitable assessment base for the distribution of property taxes, to educate the public in the process and provide access to information pertaining to real property and sales of real property.



Program Description

The Tax Assessor's Office is responsible for accurately identifying, listing and valuing all real property within the Borough. This requires the collecting and maintenance of data from numerous other programs provided by New Jersey Statutes, including:

  • Annual assessment notifications
  • Disabled persons
  • Farmland assessment
  • Sales ratio
  • Senior citizens
  • Tax exemptions to eligible non-profit organizations
  • Veterans tax deductions
